M8l8th / Moloth

Moloth (or M8l8th if you prefer) was posted not that long ago by brendo, but I just can't resist posting it with some added material since they're one of my favorite Russian bm bands.
Tight musicianship with excellent composition that just never gets old, but the truly strong point are the vocals which are truly amazing, controlled bursts of mayhem that gives the band that extra edge! Highly recommended!!!!!
(All releases ripped from their master cdr's)

Reverend Kriss Hades - The Wind Of Orion Pyramids Of War

Fucked up music from down under, solo project of Rev. Kriss Hades of Sadistik Exekution fame; this is some really original experimental black metal / dark ambient, completely out there as one might expect, but extremely good. I must add that the Reverend is quite an artist, not only does he do some amazing music but the layout of the release & the booklet is adorned by his art which I must say is absolutely exquisite. Great stuff!!

Vortex Of End

Excellent new band from France, riff-based black metal with quite a lot of old school death and thrash influences, absoultely addictive songs with great composition and brutal vocals, these guys sound like they've been doing this for a long time, fans of Impiety and Axis of Advance will love this, although I highly recommend it to everyone. Essential stuff!!!!

The Firstborn

Excellent band from portugal, started out as a sort of melodic black metal, nothing out of the ordinary; things truly pick up with the second album; totally amazing, unique music, the album is about the Tibetian book of the dead, lot's of eastern elements mixed with some excellent avantgarde black / death metal. Truly unique & underrated band, do yourself a favor and hear them out!!
Some useless trivia, the vocalsit, Bruno Fernandes, is going to do a guest appearance on the new Absu album.

Ordo Tyrannis

Pitch black doom laden black metal, this is raw, ugly and unpleasant music that will gnaw on your soul, nightmareish beyond belief. Just imagine Black Funeral gone extreme doom to get an idea of the music. Can't go wrong, a fucking must!!!

Nuit Noire

Here's another band for those who love their black metal on the strange side, the band actually labels their sound as "faerical blasting punk" which isn't all that wrong, but it definitely has some black metal elements in it. The vocals are truly queer (for the lack of a better word) and will definitely put off a lot of people, although I find them funny and kick-ass at the same time; the guitar sound is generally raw but clear, the true strength is the composition, short concise songs with excellent riffs; all together it makes a quite unique sound unlike any other band. Adding to the queerness of the band are the lyrics which most of the time deal with fairies, basically everything is shrouded in this childlike kind of innocence. Love it or hate it.

Secrets of the Moon - The Exhibitions

Short ep by this german band, personally my favorite release from their newer era, not really a fan of the last two albums, but this EP really captures the best of their new stuff; only two songs plus a Darkthrone cover. Well thought out modern black metal with really nice occult atmosphere; also amazing artwork on the release. A must!!!

Negură Bunget

One of todays most original black metal bands, from their early recordings to todays albums they always made incredible challenging music, heavy on atmosphere with truly amazing composition, you really can't compare their music to any other band out there. Also amazing pictures and layouts on their releases (be sure to check out their websites: negura bunget, negura music) Each release better then the last one, this band truly has no bounderies!

Excellent norwegian black metal, started out as really raw black metal, then after the debut the sound got clearer, all their releases are great, love the vocals, especially when he "sings" in Norwegian, nice mid-tempo riffs and excellent compostion can't harm!
